Abhishek Sharma is born and raised in Amritsar, Punjab, India in the family of Manju, and Raj Kumar Sharma. He has 2 elder sisters, Komal and Sania – Shravan being the youngest in the family.

He has done his schooling from Delhi Public School, RK Puram, New Delhi. Abhishek was a child prodigy in cricket since early on; his talent in cricket was noticed very early on. Abhishek was bought first by the Delhi Daredevils (now Delhi Capitals) in 2018 for the Indian Premier League (IPL). He later became a key player at Sunrisers Hyderabad after moving there in 2019.
